| The Associate Portfolio Manager is responsible for developing, presenting, and executing specific trades in various sectors that are part of our overall fixed-income strategy. The most important function of this role is to maximize return consistent with client objectives. Explore and analyze sectors that make up the fixed-income portfolio and maximize returns based upon client objectives |

Develop, present and execute thoughtful trading strategies to achieve specific objectives and/or recommend alternative strategies for achieving the firm’s fixed income strategies |

Prepare daily research notes and frequent market updates on trading levels and news |

Participate in developing the firm’s short and long-term financial forecasts and strategies on which they are based |

Work with compliance officers and account managers to ensure individual accounts are managed within guidelines and restrictions |

Support account mangers by updating existing account base on market conditions, philosophy, process and performance |

| Education |
| An M.B.A. degree with an emphasis in Finance and Economics or a related, quantitative/analytical field from an accredited, leading business school or university, or other equivalent Advanced Degree as it relates to the position is required. Preference will be given to candidates whose field of study provides exposure to finance/capital markets, and macroeconomics, or whose business experience and knowledge is aligned with the requirements of the position in one or more areas described immediately above. A Chartered Financial Analyst (CFA) designation is recommended, as candidates are encouraged to pursue the CFA designation after joining PIMCO. Typically this position requires a Series 7, 63, 3, and other applicable licenses. |

| The ideal candidate will possess expertise in macroeconomics, business cycle analysis, and fixed income markets attained through coursework, individual study and prior work experience. Preference will be given to candidates with extensive experience working with executive-level management. |
