Mr. Sosa is an executive vice president in the Newport Beach office and emerging markets product manager. Prior to joining PIMCO in 2011, he was a managing director and portfolio manager at Voras Capital Management, a global macro hedge fund founded by a former co-president of Morgan Stanley. Previously, he was the founder, managing partner and co-chief investment officer of OneWorld Investments from 1999-2008. Earlier in his career, Mr. Sosa was managing director, founder and head of emerging markets investment and Asia banking for BankBoston Corporation and managing director and co-head of worldwide fixed income sales at Bankers Trust New York. He has over 30 years of investment experience, including 20 years managing portfolios of emerging markets securities. He holds an MBA from Babson College’s Franklin W. Olin Graduate School of Business and a bachelor of business administration degree from the University of Miami.
