Makoto Takano

Mr. Takano is a managing director in the Tokyo office and president of PIMCO Japan. Prior to joining PIMCO in 2001, he was head of marketing at Goldman Sachs Asset Management. Mr. Takano’s prior experience also includes work at Daiwa Securities where was head of the strategists team and at Daiwa Institute of Research. Mr. Takano has published extensively on the capital markets. He has 25 years of investment experience and holds master’s and undergraduate degrees in engineering from Waseda University. He is also a director of Nippon Finance Association.
