Michael C. Watchorn

Mr. Watchorn is a senior vice president, portfolio manager, and analyst in the distressed debt group in the Newport Beach office. Prior to joining PIMCO in 2007, he was with Oaktree Capital Management (and its predecessor group at Trust Company of the West) for 12 years, most recently as a managing director and high yield bond portfolio manager. Prior positions include five years with Citicorp as a commercial banker advising middle-market companies in the aerospace and defense industry and five years with IBM as a systems engineer. He has 23 years of investment experience and holds an MBA from the University of Chicago Graduate School of Business. He also earned a bachelor's degree in electrical engineering from the University of California, San Diego and a master's degree in electrical engineering from the University of Southern California.
