Mr. Ozeki is a PIMCO executive vice president and head of the Asian Credit Research team. Based in Tokyo, he is responsible for covering Japanese financial, industrial corporate, and Asian financial sectors. Mr. Ozeki has more than 25 years of experience as a banker and credit analyst. He joined PIMCO from Nomura Securities (Tokyo), where he was a senior advisor for the investment banking department. Prior to Nomura, Mr. Ozeki was a managing director and head of Credit Research at Merrill Lynch Japan, as well as a member of several councils and advisory boards with the Japanese government, including the Financial System Council of the Financial Services Agency. He currently is a member of the Public Fund Advisory Board of the Metropolitan Government of Tokyo. Prior experience includes serving as a ratings-agency credit analyst at IBCA (Fitch) and banker at Kyowa Bank (Resona). Mr. Ozeki holds an MBA from the University of Hull in the United Kingdom and BA from the University of Tokyo.
