In the February 1998 issue, Global Investor Magazine referred to Bill Gross of PIMCO "as the best performing fixed-income manager of the past 25 years".

4. PLANSPONSOR Magazine named PIMCO among the top three Investment Managers for "Overall Client Service" in their 2001 Defined Benefit Survey (survey respondents included over 400 pension fund officials).

5. In its March 2002 issue, Fortune Magazine featured Bill Gross in an article entitled "The Bond King".

6. Global Investor Magazine awarded PIMCO it's "Awards for Investment Excellence" in the Emerging Market Debt (awarded in February 2003) category based on an extensive evaluation by a panel of independent judges.

7. Financial News' team of five specialist fund management journalists and its correspondents in Europe compile a short list of 5 to 10 candidates in each category. A panel (made up of 50 senior pension fund and investment consultants from Europe) then votes on the shortlists for each of the 20 categories, giving candidates a score out of 5 (panelists are also allowed to nominate candidates). The highest overall score in each category is the winner.

8. Global Pensions Magazine awarded PIMCO it's "Fixed Income Manager of the Year" for 2003 (awarded in August 2003) based on an extensive evaluation by a panel of independent judges.
