About PIMCO

"PIMCO’s Mission is to Enrich and Preserve Client Assets and to Provide Clients with the Highest Quality Investment Management Service."

Pacific Investment Management Company ("PIMCO") is a leading institutional money manager with more than $829.5 billion in assets under management (as of  June 30, 2008). PIMCO was established in 1971 to offer separate account management services primarily for employee benefit plans, endowments and foundations. Today, the firm manages a broad spectrum of separate-account portfolios and mutual funds tailored to match each client’s unique investment objectives.

PIMCO is one of the most respected names in fixed income management due, in large part, to its total return approach and consistent long-term performance record. Our offices in Newport Beach, New York, London, Tokyo, Singapore, Sydney, Munich, Toronto and Hong Kong manage assets for clients around the globe (Click here for a global map of PIMCO's offices). Global Pension named PIMCO "Fixed Income Manager of the Year" for 2003, 2004, 2006. As of April 2007, PIMCO manages assets for more than half of the Fortune 100.

PIMCO is organized into three areas: Portfolio Management, Account Management, and Business Management. Portfolio Managers are mainly responsible for market research, portfolio strategy and trade execution. Account Managers are mainly responsible for client servicing and for monitoring investment portfolios for compliance with client objectives and strategy. Business Management comprises the Executive Office, Legal & Compliance, and Technology & Operations.
