Recruiting Process

The recruiting process begins when you submit your resume to us -- either through your school's resume submission system or via the PIMCO Web site. PIMCO will visit numerous schools each fall to give presentations and to speak with interested students. Please check our

Recruiting Calendar or your school's career services office for specifics on the date and time of campus visits. If you are interested in a position at PIMCO and your school is not part of PIMCO's regular recruiting tour, please click here to submit your resume online.

Once we receive your resume, we’ll take the time to match your experiences and goals to available positions at one of PIMCO’s offices. Students with a strong interest in a specific position and/or location are encouraged to indicate their preference in their cover letter or mention it in the first-round interview.

PIMCO representatives will return to campus to conduct first-round interviews with selected candidates. Recruiters from our New York office will conduct interviews at East Coast schools and recruiters from Newport Beach will interview at West Coast schools. The first-round interviews will gauge your knowledge and interest in a variety of areas including fixed income, general macroeconomic theory, and technological proficiency. Please see our

What to Expect section for more details on the first-round interviews.

The second-round interviews will be held in one of PIMCO’s

U.S. offices , where applicants will go through a testing process that could be quite rigorous, depending on the role the candidate is seeking. For information on various roles at PIMCO, please see our Job Descriptions .

When the interview process has concluded, a PIMCO representative will contact you to discuss the outcome.
