John Hornbeak
Mr. Hornbeak is a vice president and account manager in the San Diego office. Prior to joining PIMCO in 2021, he was a vice president in the advisory services department at Gurtin Municipal Bond Management, a PIMCO company. Mr. Hornbeak was responsible for advising the firm’s clients on fixed income markets as well as the strategies and services of the firm. Prior to joining Gurtin in March 2014, Mr. Hornbeak was a senior associate at Green Street Advisors, specializing in REITs. Previously, he worked as an investment analyst with Tri Pacific Capital Advisors and as an analyst on the team managing the Stanford University endowment with the Stanford Management Company. He has 16 years of investment experience and holds an MBA from the University of Oxford and a bachelor’s degree in management science and engineering with a concentration in finance and decision engineering from Stanford University.
