Katrina Sherrerd
Vice Chair, Research Affiliates
Dr. Sherrerd is a partner and vice chair of Research Affiliates, a subadvisor to PIMCO. She is a member of the executive committee of Research Affiliates’ board and serves as an advisor to the firm. Dr. Sherrerd joined Research Affiliates in 2006 as a managing director responsible for strategic planning and affiliate relations, and served as the CEO, president, and COO before becoming the vice chair. She currently serves on the boards of of Rayliant Global Advisors and the Institute for Quantitative Research in Finance as well as on the Women Investing in Security & Education (WISE) Tearing Down the Pink Wall Advisory Board. Prior to joining Research Affiliates, she was a member of the Investment Advisory Committee for the Virginia Retirement System and also served as vice chair. She was also managing director at the CFA Institute, leading the research and education effort, including oversight of the Financial Analysts Journal. She holds a bachelor's degree from the McIntire School of Commerce at the University of Virginia, a master's degree from MIT, and a Ph.D. from the Darden School at the University of Virginia.
