He previously served as head of credit analytics, head of equity analytics, head of portfolio management analytics, as head of analytics for PIMCO Advisory and as a senior financial engineer developing credit and interest rate derivative models and trading ideas. Prior to joining PIMCO in 2002, he worked for three years as a quantitative analyst/trader on the interest rate derivatives trading desk at ABN AMRO and had consulting engagements with Morgan Stanley and the Bank of Montreal. He has 24 years of system analysis and development experience and holds a Ph.D. in operations research from the University of Rochester and a master’s degree in financial mathematics from the University of Chicago.
