Gergely Hudecz
Portfolio Management
Mr. Hudecz is a senior vice president in the London office working as an economist and strategist in the portfolio management group. He is responsible for analyzing economic trends for sovereigns and formulating key macro views for the EMEA region. Prior to joining PIMCO in 2025, Mr. Hudecz was team lead at the European Stability Mechanism, co-head of economic research at the asset manager Pharo, and an economist at Credit Suisse in London and Paris. He started his career at Budapest Economics, a research consultancy specializing in transition economics and structural change. He has 21 years of macro research experience and holds a Ph.D. from the Corvinus University of Budapest. He also studied at IEP Science Po Paris as well as at Oxford’s St Antony’s and Nuffield colleges.
