Bill Gurtin
Mr. Gurtin is a strategic advisor to PIMCO. Previously, he was an executive vice president of PIMCO Municipals in the Solana Beach office. Prior to joining PIMCO, in 2008 he founded Gurtin Municipal Bond Management and served as chairman of Gurtin's investment committee; PIMCO acquired Gurtin Municipal Bond Management in 2019. Previously, Mr. Gurtin was senior vice president and senior portfolio manager of fixed income investments for The Gurtin Group at Morgan Stanley. Mr. Gurtin’s fixed income management experience includes 10 years at Goldman Sachs and nine years at Morgan Stanley, where he managed high-grade fixed income portfolios exclusively for high net worth and ultra high net worth individuals. He holds an MBA in finance from the Booth Graduate School of Business at the University of Chicago and an undergraduate degree from Brown University.
