The PIMCO Computer Project uses refreshed and refurbished PIMCO computers to benefit nonprofit organizations—and keeps the computers from becoming electronic waste. Since 2011, we’ve donated 985 computers and 480 monitors to employee-nominated charities in Newport Beach, New York City, London, and Tokyo.

We’re also proud of our iPad Donation Program, started by a PIMCO employee in 2011. Research shows that tablet computers can be effective tools for educating and communicating with autistic children. Since the program began, we have donated 99 iPads to Autism Speaks, QSAC (Quality Services for the Autism Community), The Thompson Center (Missouri), For OC Kids and TACA (Talk About Curing Autism).
