John West
Research Affiliates
Mr. West is a partner and member of the board at Research Affiliates, a subadvisor to PIMCO. Since joining the firm in 2006, he has led distribution, marketing, and product management. A frequent contributor to the firm’s publications, Mr. West regularly represents Research Affiliates’ insights and strategies to global investors and asset management partners. Before joining Research Affiliates, Mr. West was a vice president and senior consultant at Wurts & Associates (now called Verus) and managed the firm's overall research effort, including the development of capital market assumptions, new asset class opinions, alternative investments, portfolio processes and spending policies. He is co-author of "The Fundamental Index: A Better Way to Invest," published in 2008, and holds a bachelor's degree in finance from the University of Arizona.
