Michael Puempel
Michael Puempel is a senior vice president and quantitative research analyst on the portfolio management team in PIMCO’s London office. Prior to joining PIMCO in 2025, he served as a macro and FX strategist at Deutsche Bank and as a macro credit strategist at Goldman Sachs. He holds a Ph.D., M.Phil., and M.A. in economics from Yale University and an undergraduate degree in economics from McGill University in Montreal.
