Joshua Spitz
Portfolio Manager
Mr. Spitz is an executive vice president and portfolio manager in the Newport Beach office, focusing on volatility and relative value trading strategies. Prior to joining PIMCO in 2022, he was a portfolio manager at JD Capital Management. Previously, he was a managing director and head of equities index trading at Wells Fargo. He also held prior roles heading equities index volatility trading at BNP, Barclays, and Lehman Brothers. He also taught mathematics at Bronx Outreach High School, a last-chance public high school in the South Bronx, New York City. He has 21 years of investment experience and holds an MBA from Harvard Business School and a bachelor's degree in economics from the University of California, Berkeley.
