Prior to joining PIMCO in 2008, he was a managing director in Morgan Stanley's global capital markets group, directing coverage and advising insurance companies on capital raising, structured finance, risk management and investment strategy. He also spent considerable time working in the insurance industry at MetLife and Tillinghast, an actuarial consulting firm. He has 35 years of investment experience and holds an undergraduate degree from the University of California, Los Angeles. He is a Fellow of the Society of Actuaries (FSA).
