A recent trip to Moscow on the 100th anniversary of the 1917 revolution revealed not a whiff of revolutionary change in the economy, but rather stagnant growth mixed with structural stability. We could simply call it “stagnant stability.”

Yacov Arnopolin

Portfolio Manager, Emerging Markets

Mr. Arnopolin is an executive vice president and emerging markets portfolio manager in the London office. Prior to joining PIMCO in 2016, he served as a managing director overseeing emerging market fixed income portfolios at Goldman Sachs Asset Management. Previously, Mr. Arnopolin worked as a portfolio manager at Fortress Investment Group. He started his career in the fixed income departments at Citigroup and Deutsche Bank, trading mortgages and emerging markets products. He has 17 years of investment experience and holds a bachelor's degree in economics from Carnegie Mellon University. He also serves on the Board of Trustees of the Cancer Research Institute.
