Mr. Ramirez is a senior vice president and quantitative research analyst in the client solutions and analytics group in the Newport Beach office. Prior to joining PIMCO in 2018, he worked at the Central Bank of Colombia, focusing on credit risk management of the foreign reserves and sovereign wealth funds. He has 14 years of investment and financial services experience and holds a master's degree in financial engineering from the University of California, Berkeley. He received an undergraduate degree from Universidad de los Andes in Colombia.
